The Path of Oropa della Serra - Stage 1/4 - From Santhià to Roppolo on foot
Very easy path that accompanies the walker from the agricultural plain, between fields and rice fields, to the first gentle hills of the morainic amphitheater of Ivrea. Starting from Santhià, the route follows the Via Francigena along a path that was initially flat and then slightly undulating, immersed in the rural landscape. The first section is mainly exposed to the sun, while along the way there are rest areas equipped with fountains. After passing the village of Cavaglià, the route enters a pleasant wooded area and finally leads to Roppolo, dominated by the imposing Castle of Roppolo, from which a suggestive panorama of Lake Viverone opens up.
