The "noble" crossing
The ‘Swim crossing of Lake Viverone’ is a historic open water race that crosses the lake for about 3.7–4 km, from the pier of Anzasco (Piverone) to the hamlet of Masseria di Viverone.
Since 2011, it has been part of the ‘Nobile dei Laghi’ circuit, which brings together around 15 of Italy’s most important open water crossings.

On the Lake there is an important motorboat event that brings world-class riders and stables to its waters, transforming the basin into a real international circuit for a few days.
Inserted in the calendars of European and Italian championships attracts young talents and established champions, makes Viverone a reference point for young motorboats

Wakeboard Championships

In 2025 the Italian Absolute Wakeboard Championship was held with the best national riders for a weekend entirely dedicated to this acrobatic sport.
The evolutions of the riders behind the towing boats fit into the natural scenery of the lake. At the end a very participatory party.

Serie A Bike

The "Series A" in the bike field in Viverone refers to large-scale MTB events.
Historically, the area has hosted events such as the GF Bric in Bike or Piedmont Cup rehearsals.

At Lake Viverone you will find a small outdoor world overlooking the water, among vineyards and views of the Canavese and Biella Alps. Outdoor Water

On Lake Viverone, water is the real protagonist: here you can practice water sports and outdoor activities suitable for both sportsmen and those who just want to enjoy the lake from a different point of view. 

The days pass between boat trips, silences on the water and more adrenaline moments, always surrounded by the soft landscape of the moraine amphitheatre.

Canoe

With the canoe or kayak you can explore the lake in a slow and silent way, approaching the shores, reed beds and the quietest corners unattainable from the ground. It is a perfect activity both for those who want to get a bit moving and for families and groups of friends who want an experience in direct contact with nature, perhaps in the early morning or at sunset.

Sailing

Sailing is one of the symbolic sports of Lake Viverone, thanks to its small size and generally regular winds, ideal for learning and to get out safely. Sailing schools and nautical clubs organise courses for adults and children, guided outings and regattas, offering the possibility of renting dinghies or cabins for a few hours or for the whole day.

Wakeboard

For those looking for action and adrenaline, the wakeboard turns Lake Viverone into a small playground on the water. Driven by specialized boats, riders can try glides, jumps and tricks, followed by qualified instructors for beginners. It is a spectacular discipline even if only to be observed from the lakefront, with the water igniting with trails and splashes.

Fishing

Sup

The SUP is the easiest and most accessible way to “walk on water” and enjoy the landscape from a unique perspective. Standing on the board, you row slowly along the coast, stop for a dip or walk a few hundred meters away to enjoy the silence of the lake. It is a suitable activity for everyone, also excellent for physical well-being, balance and concentration.

Waterskiing

Waterskiing brings all the energy of towed sports to the lake: fast glides, curves and turns on the body of water, always followed by boats and dedicated instructors. It is ideal both for those who want to try the discipline for the first time, and for those who already have experience and are looking for a cozy but stimulating environment to train in.

On and around Lake Viverone, the mainland is also a large outdoor playground where you can move, breathe and slow down. Between paths, vineyards, sports fields and lakeside promenades, you can choose every day a different way of experiencing the outdoors, from the most dynamic to the most relaxed.

Tennis, five-a-side football and golf

For those who love the most classic sports, in the area there are facilities dedicated to tennis, soccer and golf, ideal both for training and for a game with friends during your stay.
Fields in green and peaceful surroundings allow you to alternate sports activities with moments of relaxation, perhaps with views of the hills or a few minutes from the lake.

Three famous walks and a rich offer of local trekking

Three major national routes meet in the area of Lake Viverone, turning the country into a natural stop for those traveling on foot along ancient pilgrimage routes and slow itineraries. The Via Francigena, the Cammino di Oropa and the Cammino di San Carlo cross the morainic Serra and the villages surrounding the lake, offering landscapes ranging from cultivated plains to views of the Biella Alps.

What's around Viverone in Cavaglià, a few minutes from the lake, is also located a kart track This adds an adrenaline note to the territory’s outdoor offer. It is the ideal place for challenges between friends, team building or simply to experience the thrill of a few laps on the track after a day spent walking, water sports and relaxing on the lake.

40 km from Viverone, to be precise in Veglio (BI), the Ponte Colossus with its 152 meters high We can challenge the acceleration of gravity. The Bungee Center Veglio, active since 1995, is known throughout the world as a real Bungee cult site.

 

From the launch station located in the middle of the bridge you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding plain.
