The Way of St. Charles Borromeo: from Chiaverano to Viverone
The path descends towards Lake Viverone through countryside areas, meadows and poplar trees that introduce the lake landscape and the junction with the Via Francigena. The Viverone area retains a receptacle and a historic structure linked to the control of the routes between Biellese and Canavese, in a strategic position on the lake. The natural context of the lake, with low shores and wetlands, is now enhanced for hiking, birdwatching and walking or cycling itineraries along the paths.
